Relative Harmony is based in Sioux Falls,S.D. and have been singing Southern Gospel music in the midwest for about the last eight years. The group was originnally made up of husband and wife, Jake and Phyllis Van Den Hul amd Phyllis’ cousin Carol Patch. Jake and Phyllis had been singing both together and in various groups since their marriage in 1966. Jake has been selling large, over the road trucks at Peterbilt of Sioux Falls since 1992 and Phyllis worked at Mill End Textiles until her recurance of cancer no longer allowed her to work. She did enjoy sewing and quilting when her health allowed. They both enjoyed riding their trike in the summertime.Phyllis went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Dec. 12,2013. Carol is married to truck driver Ray Patch. Carol recently joined Kelly Services in Sioux Falls. This is Carols first experience singing in a small group but you would never know it. Carol and Ray had also been bitten by the “Biker Bug” and rode their big Kawasaki motorcycle whenever they got the chance until medical issues kept Ray from riding.. Our sound is being mixed by Jake and Phyllis’ daughter Sharri Wheeler. Sharri works part time for Mountain Man Nut and Fruit Co. in Sioux Falls and does some part time work at Hy Vee. Phyllis’ part is now being sung by bass singer Bob Viet. That’s right, we are now a male dominated trio. Bob farmed until retirement and now lives in Sioux Falls with his wife Theola. Bob also works part time at Hy Vee. Both Bob and Jake do double duty singing for the Gospel Gold Quartet and the Minnihaha Mandskor. Relative Harmony members are committed Christians and would love to come to your church, nursing/retirement facility, back yard barbeque or family function to sing for you.
